This thoughtfully designed home transformation was created for easy, modern family living, balancing practicality, sustainability, and personality in equal measure. Built for a hobby-loving family with a need for adaptable space and intelligent storage, every element of the project was carefully considered to support day-to-day life while maintaining a calm, open feel throughout.

A key feature of the project is the expansive open-plan living area, designed to bring the family together while creating a seamless connection between cooking, dining, and relaxing spaces. Working alongside interior designer Olive Green Interiors, the interiors combine warmth and simplicity with natural textures and timeless detailing. The space is centred around a beautifully crafted bespoke kitchen, produced by our trusted kitchen maker, delivering both functionality and a strong focal point for the home.

Sustainability played a major role in the brief. To reduce reliance on the grid and improve long-term energy efficiency, the property was fitted with an air source heat pump alongside a full-roof solar installation, helping the home operate more efficiently while supporting a lower-impact lifestyle.

One of our favourite details from the project was the inclusion of a swallow box integrated into the new loft extension, a small but meaningful feature that reflects the family’s love of nature and bird watching. It’s these personal touches that make a house feel truly connected to the people who live there.

The finished result is a highly functional, energy-conscious family home that feels spacious, welcoming, and built around the way the clients genuinely live.
